Finished the shirts today... so rad. This horrible cameraphone photo really doesn't do em justice. I feel like they might be even more rad because Russ saw a homeless man naked at the FAB while I was making these. True story. Also true: the police dispatcher was all like, "oh my goodness" when I called campus police. I forget why I think that made the shirts cooler, but it totally does for serious.
Also, Russ got some throwing knives the other day and I finally found a place in town that sells Luckies. Aaaaand that's about all that's been going on lately, I've been too broke to get into anything cool lately. HOPEFULLY THESE SHIRTS WILL CHANGE THAT LOL (I mean gee that worked so well with my last post)
Finished reading Cosmos today at work... what a great book. Carl Sagan is my new hero. I feel more inspired about everything now than I have in years.
In related news, I went and installed the SETI@home software tonight. I'll probably end up doing away with it if it starts eating up bandwidth, but right now it's totally awesome.
Jon and Garrett brought Chance along Wednesday night, and everything was shaping up to be a lot of fun, but then I ended up getting really sick Thursday morning at school, came home and basically slept all day until the show that night. The Sword was bad ass, though, and thankfully I ended up feeling a lot better and Jon got me a killer T-shirt as a birthday present. It was good to go to a metal show again.
Jon and the fellas left, I worked all day today, Russ and I got some supper, and then I was just kicking some Sim City for a while. Then I walk out my door and there's a full blown party going on in the backyard. Apparently Joe was throwing a big Memorial Weekend/Farewell party kind of thing? Turned out to be a pretty good time, even though I didn't really know half the people who showed up.
Gonna get some sleep now, and go to Crestview tomorrow for my birthday and take advantage of the three-day weekend. Boy it's late.

A lot of video games in my life right now, what's up with that? I beat Assassin's Creed yesterday, I just downloaded Sim City 4 to kill some time, and now Joe got me the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection as an early birthday present. Plus I'm still playing FFVI on the side. Where am I going to find the time??
Jon and Garrett are coming down tonight for the Sword show, and then after that I'm probably going home for the weekend for my birthday.
Another early birthday present: I found a CD with a backup of my art from late 2004...! oh god, it's so horrible, but I'm so glad to see it all back. Now I'm only missing maybe two years worth of art, and it was all kind of intermediate stuff where I was actually getting good at art, so I don't miss it like I missed my old naive kid stuff. I'm still missing those photos, though. ;___;
Boy, how long's it been since I posted?
Went home for a bit earlier this week, watched Jon play some jazz a couple times, hated on a lady for being dumb, looked for treasure with Jon and Mom, and got a haircut. Fun fun fun.
Came back yesterday and went to work. I feel like I'm starting to figure out my job now, it's starting to actually be fun now that I can, you know, do stuff. Before it was just a blur, but only because I was scheduled to train the same weekend that Tallahassee got swamped for all the college graduation ceremonies.
After work today I hung out at the BFA gallery with a bunch of the other BFA'ers for First Friday, turned out to be a pretty cool time. Had some hari krishna food, sat around in my work uniform, and my lips got really chapped. So yeah, cool except for my burning lips. ow.
Also, today I got paid for the first time since December, so that was nice. Nothing too get excited about, but it's fifty bucks I didn't have before. Now to start the long journey of paying back everyone I owe money to.

Have a couple side projects in the works that might earn me a bit more cash as well. I am ready to make good with all the folks I owe and go back to spending money on dumb stuff.
Having a hard time sleeping lately, mostly thanks to school and pulling two all-nighters in the last week. Hopefully after this week, I'll be back to normal what with the new job and being out of school for a while. Or hell, if it gets really bad, maybe I'll volunteer for some night audit shifts and get paid for being up so late.
So yeah, it's 6:30 in the morning. What's that mean? Yep, you guessed it, I'm trolling youtube for awesome music videos. Or, well, that's what I've been doing. Now I'm going to bed.

Aaron, Dan, Greg, and I went dumpster diving last night on a hot tip from one of Dan's friends and scored at least 50 tape decks, and a couple boxes full of cassettes. Interesting cassette-based art project to follow.
Went to another figure drawing class tonight (I usually go tues/thur) to make up for some absences in my regular class. It was actually a lot better than my usual class - cool teacher, lots of girls (oo la la), and the real difference - no slacker/druggie kids bringing down the general vibe. I swear I never want to draw in my regular class because there's always this feeling that no one in class wants to be there, no one seems to be trying. Brings me down. Tonight, everybody was all working hard and making conversation and the teacher was showing me a new technique and stuff... so it was cool, but also depressing because I only have to go two more times. =/
And as long as I'm being depressed, I'll mention how I spent the last of my tax return today. Little bit of groceries, a visit to bandito's burritos, and two CDs - I figured I might as well buy something fun before I went broke again. All in all, I made it stretch a little longer than I thought I would, which is still a little shorter than I'd have liked, of course. Hopefully the Holiday Inn puts me on the schedule soon... not only do I need money, I need a reason to get up on the weekends so I can get my sleep schedule back to normal. I've been staying up till at least 4 all week and it's really making my whole "start doing good in school again" thing really hard.
Grilling out tomorrow with Russ, might go see Tokyo Police Club afterwards if I can find someone to go with me. BFA grad show Friday, Aaron is graduating. Saturday I want to see There Will Be Blood at school. The days are just packed.
I got a studio today! Sweet! There's nothing in it and I can't get in the building by myself yet, but I've got one now, damn it.
